Classes run inside St Andrew's College, a residential college founded in 1867, where the university's oldest architecture houses fully equipped modern classrooms. It's a setting that pairs a secure, comfortable base with a genuine taste of university life in the heart of Sydney.

Exciting activities in

Sydney

Explore Chinatown's markets

Sydney's cultural mix comes alive in Chinatown, one of the city's liveliest districts. You can wander between food stalls, browse the markets, and sample dishes from across Asia. It's a great way to experience the city's multicultural energy first-hand, and a reminder that summer school in Sydney is about culture and community as much as it is about landmarks.

Wander through The Rocks

For a glimpse of where Sydney began, The Rocks is well worth the visit. This historic quarter sits right by the waterfront, with cobbled lanes, sandstone buildings, and weekend markets selling local crafts. Wandering through gives you a real sense of the city's origins, set against a backdrop of modern skyscrapers just behind it, blending old and new.

Surfing at Bondi Beach

When you need a break from the classroom, Bondi Beach is the place to go. Golden sand, rolling waves, and a laid-back coastal atmosphere make it a go-to spot for locals and visitors alike. Whether you swim, watch the surfers, or walk the coastal path, Bondi gives you a genuine taste of Sydney's outdoor lifestyle and easy-going energy.

Marvel at the Sydney Opera House

No trip to Sydney is complete without seeing the Opera House up close. Its sail-shaped rooftops sit right on the harbour's edge, making it one of the most famous buildings in the world. As part of your course, you'll learn about its history and design, and see first-hand why it's become such a powerful symbol of the city and its ambition.

Cross Sydney Harbour Bridge

One of the best parts of our summer school in Sydney is getting out to explore the city. Sydney Harbour Bridge is a must, offering sweeping views across the water and skyline in every direction. You can walk across for a closer look, snap photos from below, or simply take in the view from the shore. It's a landmark moment that makes the whole Sydney experience feel real.

The Immerse Education programme is a useful experience for both learning and personal career. I learned a lot, met new people, understood new concepts and most importantly I enjoyed it one hundred percent. You get an overview of many topics and realise the world behind what you don't know about. In my opinion, this was the best choice I could ever make at this age.
Anna
My time in Sydney with Immerse has honestly been one of the best things I have ever done. I learnt so much from all the inspirational tutors who have motivated me to challenge myself academically. This experience has allowed me to develop so many amazing new friendships from all over the world. Each and every moment at immerse was engaging, fun and insightful.
